Bride Katie: Lanikai

Our bride Katie from Alaska, hands down, has the BEST story of how she met her husband!  They intially met when they were in Jr. High on a military base in Germany.  They didn’t exactly get along and then soon parted ways.  Fast forward to a few years ago.  They reconnect on Facebook and sparks started to fly.  She moved to Oregon so they could be together then they came to Hawaii to get married.  The cherry on top of this story; the same thing happened for her mother!! Our team absolutely loved working with Katie and her family!  Everyone was so fun and relaxed, especially the bride!  We wish her a happily ever after!  Check out the amazing and kind review she left for us here.   Location: Lanikai/ Private Estate Photographer: Laura Fleming Photography

Bride Krystal: Sunset Ranch Hawaii

I had the pleasure of working with Krystal on her wedding day.  Her look was very vintage inspired with a soft, romantic low-do and makeup to match in hues of pink and plums.  We love seeing photos of our brides! Location: Sunset Ranch Hawaii Photographer: Rachael Robertson Photography

Beauty Project with Amber: Hawaii Hair & Makeup Artist

Amberblog1

My next shoot in the Beauty Project series was with Model Amber.  She had the most beautiful Honey colored eyes!  Not brown, not hazel, but HONEY.  I was super stoked for our shoot because on the same day I got my new 50mm lens in the mail!  Still getting used to it, but I can see why it gets such good reviews.  When I saw the first photo, I knew EXACTLY how I wanted to process it.

Beauty Project with Monique: Hawaii Hair & Makeup Artist

Moniqueblog5

Since its been a while since I’ve updated my portfolio and I have a few mellow weeks on my hands, I decided to take advantage of this time and do a little fun Beauty Project of looks that are popular with my clients to add to my book. I’m no photographer, but I don’t suck at it either (well at least in my head) so I thought it would be fun to tackle the hair, makeup AND photography. Hopefully I’ll be able to do a few of these shoots a month on an on going bases, at least until Wedding Season is in full swing again. For the first shoot, I got to work with sweetest, most gorgeous model, Monique. I had the opportunity to work with her a few years ago on an editorial shoot and couldn’t believe it

Wedding Hair Tips

Hawaii Hair, Makeup & Airbrush by Sarah Pacheco.

From mothers to bridesmaids and especially brides; everyone wants to look their best at a wedding.  However, hair and makeup somehow always seems to be a detail that falls low on the priority list when planning a wedding.  Long after the cake has been eaten and the flowers have wilted, your pictures will remain.  Sure your friend has a bag full of MAC makeup, but does she know anything about camera lighting?  Does she know how to makeup your face last 12+ hours through scorching humidity?  Sure your auntie can use a curling iron, but does she know how to make your curls last until the final guest leaves?  These are reasons I highly recommend hiring a pro.  And I’m not taking about some caboodle girl off of Craigslist. As Wedding Season is in full swing, I thought I would

Sunset Ranch Photo Shoot: Hawaii Hair & Makeup Artist

Hawaii Hair, Makeup & Airbrush by Sarah Pacheco.

Yesterday I had the awesome privilege of shooting at Sunset Ranch on the beautiful North Shore of Oahu with photographer and friend, Marina Miller of RedHeartPhoto.com.  I couldn’t help myself from taking some behind the scenes photos and some shots of my own of our gorgeous model, Yvonne!  The stunning floral creations were by floral & event designer, Shilhi of PassionRoots.com.  My non-photographer-self-photos don’t do this shoot justice!  Cant wait to see the real goods that Marina captured! Along for the ride were Miss Lola and the infamous Chunk!  I can’t believe how close baby girl was to the herd of horses!  She’s usually really into animals, but yesterday she was more interested in her foot.  So lets recap, we’ve got a Ranch, horses, a gorgeous model, and babies! That’s a winning recipe. Enjoy!
